Toda mi vida he trabajado como profesora de música y baile. Cuando supe que este curso el inglés iba a estar presenta en mi trabajo, decidí retomar las clases para poder repasar, retomar y prosperar el nivel de inglés que tuve unos años antes.

Era algo nuevo para mí. De esta manera, tenía dos retos: recordar el ingles perdido en los últimos años y familiarizarme con las nuevas tecnologías. La verdad es que ha sido fácil ponerse a las nuevas tecnologías: las plataformas usadas son muy intuitivas… En realidad, mejor de lo que me esperaba.

Es una manera muy fácil. Tienes total libertad para reservar día, frecuencia de clases,… Personalmente, creo que el hecho de tener tanta libertad no ayuda a mantener el compromiso semanal…, pero por otra parte es una manera más atractiva para aquellas personas que no tengan un horario que se mantenga todas las semanas.

Me gusta mucho el formato de las clases. Son activas, personalizadas, amenas y variadas… [y ademas ]…no tener que salir de casa.

Me pareces muy buen profesor. Las clases están bien preparadas, personalizadas. [El actitud de Glyn] es siempre positiva y eso ayuda al alumno que, aunque no tenga el mejor día, siga adelante y tenga ganas de mejorar para la siguiente clase.

El feedback después de las clases es muy rápido y claro. Está muy bien resumida la clase, bien expuestas las ideas y las correcciones son claras y fáciles de entender. El que no contenga sólo lo que se ha hecho mal, o sea, que también pongas cosas que han hecho bien también me parece algo positivo.

I hadn’t had online classes before, so I didn’t know what I was going to find. Now, I can say it’s really a good experience, because Glyn proposes different and interesting things to talk about. That’s what I need to improve my vocabulary, listening comprehension and speaking skills.

I’m not especially skilled with new technologies, but it’s very easy to book a class, it’s just to click a link to choose the date and hour wanted and safely introduce your credit card information.

First of all, we review the vocabulary and expressions of the day before, and then we start the class properly.
At the end of the class, Glyn proposes a topic – an online listening or a reading – and we work on the theme in the next class. The topics are usually about something that interests me, like history, sports or languages, current political topics…
The biggest advantage [of my online classes] is that I can choose the moment of the class. Because of my job, I can’t go to an ordinary class in an academy. Moreover, you only pay the class, so if you can’t attend it, you don’t lose it. You can cancel the class and change the date.

Glyn is a good teacher and a good guy, too; he proposes many interesting themes and it’s very easy to talk about them with him…
I think that the class has got a good development and organization, and I always get the feedback about the things I’ve done bad in order to correct myself, but also about the good words and expressions I’ve used.
