This is a short speaking activity based around the video ‘iDoits’ to get students talking about the effects of technology and consumerism on our lives. I put it together as an extra activity to use with my one of my groups who are doing Unit 3 ‘technology’ of MacMillan’s Laser B2 course book.
The original idea for this activity came from Kieran Donaghy’s FilmEnglish.com site. Although, he has a much more complete class around the video while my use will be as a quick ‘class extra’ to give some variety.
